 November 26, 2009 is Thanksgiving Day in the USA, but regardless of where we live in the world, being mindful of all that we have to be grateful for has a way of bringing us more to be grateful for!
I'd like to wish our American subscribers a bountiful harvest, and a very happy Thanksgiving Day.
What's Happening with CFMG?
As always the CFMG is in motion. Our group has evolved from its beginning as a team in the $200 Per Day Blueprint, to what it is today, a basic training program and down line builder, and it will continue to evolve as we do.
We conducted a survey of our membership and shared the results in a meeting. The results gave us some insight into what our members are thinking, and what they are wanting out of their membership.
Another purpose of the survey was to determine the "best" time to hold our meetings. Attendance has been down dramatically, possibly because of the time/day changes, but also because we've all kind of drifted off into doing our own thing. That is not a bad thing, but I believe we'd all be far more successful in our own thing if we utilized the group and engaged in more co-operative strategies.
We have members who are promoting network marketing companies, affiliate programs, their own programs or products, or a combination of those marketing activities.
Regardless of what we are marketing, we all have something in common. We all need traffic, and we all need a little help now and then. There are some really simple ways that we can help one another and make our community stronger at the same time.
CFMG - The Forum
Make the forum a part of your daily routine. Oh did I mention that you should create a daily routine? Without a routine, you are doing what I call, flying by the seat of your pants. It's my style for sure, so I speak with some authority on the matter! You will find that once you have an established routine - and stick to it - your days will be far more productive and your success quicker.
Your routine does need to be somewhat flexible because working on the web just lends itself to the need to be spontaneous at times. Being spontaneous does not mean being undisciplined. Those marketers who hold down a full time job and market on the side, are particularly in need of a systematic routine that they follow to get things done.
OK. Hopefully you agree you need to develop and stick to a routine. I'm going to give you a few items to add to your daily schedule.
1. The CFMG Forum tasks - set aside 30 - 60 minutes for forum activities.
Log into the Forum
Check the calendar Make note of any training or meeting you wish to attend on your own personal calendar.
Scan through the categories. If we've a new forum member join in the Welcome board, take a moment to reply and welcome them to the forum.
Take a look at the Affiliate Programs category. Post any programs or products you may be promoting. There are some really good programs listed for all kinds of stuff, including very good advertising resources.
Look under Articles, Blogs, and Video marketing. Select some to read and post comments. You don't have to comment on everything, but make it a practice to choose some each day that interest you. For most comments you are allowed to post a URL. This can be a blog post or a website.
Be sure to post your own articles, blog posts, and videos so group members can read and make comments. This is a very powerful way to help each other! When you post on the forum, you created a back link to your content. When you post a comment, you get a backlink to the URL you post on your comment, helping you, and you increase the popularity of the content for the author. Win/Win.
2. Write an Article/Blog Post or Make a Video using your keywords
If you do this daily - you will build up your content and your backlinks. If you do an article and submit it to an article directory, post a link to it on your blog and in the CFMG forum. Use that blog post as your URL for making comments on others content. Same goes for a video.
3. Build Traffic Credits
Set aside a certain amount of time to surf traffic exchanges and/or gain safelist credits. I know that many are discouraged with TEs, it does take some huge numbers to get conversions, but there are people who do nothing but TEs and make money. Keep track of conversions - use the CFMG rotator so you can easily edit sites being displayed on all your TEs - major time saver. Once you know what is delivering, you may wish to automate the process by purchasing credits.
Safelists can be very effective if done right as well. It takes practice to get it right. Pay attention to the ads you are reading for credits. What gets your attention? Use your credit reading for inspiration.
4. Work on Building YOUR List
Give away an ebook, a free report whatever applies to your product or service. You'll need a capture page to accomplish this. And you'll need to promote that capture page in various ways every single day. Require a name and email address. Use your autoresponder to deliver your free item.
About once a week or so, send something of value to your list. Something of value could be a link to an article of interest. Make your first two or three emails strictly informational. Your subsequent emails should continue to offer great information, but can also include a product that will help solve whatever problem in solves...
5. Keep Learning
We are in the process of re-vamping the CFMG training site. In the meantime, you'll find some great training videos on various topics, in the forum in the CFMG Pro area. This area is pass word protected. If you don't have the password, ask in the Pro Chat.
The Only Link You Need
You really must install our Toolbar! It is a major time saver, and as anyone who has it will tell you, after you use it, you'll be lost without it. All the links you need in one easy access drop down menu. Links to post to twitter, to log into Facebook, all your email accounts are just a few benefits. As new gadgets are available, they will be added.
